JUMP: A Salute to the U.S. Military in Japan on March 30

Join us on March 30, 2024 in downtown Pensacola for a Japan-US Military Program (JUMP) that salutes the U.S. military in Japan.

The program and reception will take place at the SCI Building, 220 W. Garden Street, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Speakers will include the Hon. Kazuhiro Nakai, Consul General of the Consulate General of Miami in Japan, and Capt. Bill Cuilik, U.S. Navy (Retired), president of the Japan-America Society of Northwest Florida and former Chief of Staff, U.S. Naval Forces Japan.

Japanese food and drink will be served during the reception. There will also be display tables for U.S. bases in Japan including Okinawa, Sasebo, Iwakuni, Yokosuka and Misawa.

The purpose of JUMP is to honor U.S. military members and their families that served in Japan and promote the strong bond between the U.S. and Japan that helps to maintain regional peace and stability. At any given time, more than 50,000 members of the U.S. military are stationed in Japan, and the total number of those affiliated with the U.S. military bases in Japan reaches nearly 100,000 every year. Northwest Florida is a proud military community with many that have served overseas in Japan. JUMP provides an opportunity for military members, friends, supporters and those interested in learning about the U.S. military in Japan to connect in a social setting.
